X GAMES
Tuesday, January 20, 2009, 09:20 AM
I just arrived in Aspen yesterday. I have one day to hang out and ride with my dad and then practice starts on Wednesday. From what I hear the course is really cool and has an option, meaning there is more than one way to go. Time trials start on Friday and the race is Saturday during the day. Please be aware that we are on MOUNTAIN TIME so plan accordingly. Hope everyone had a great new year. Wish me luck.

November

This last month I went to two Ski Balls, one in New York City and the other in Boston. They both had live autions and entertainment that lasted late into the night. All the athletes get first class treatment as we enjoy the food, company and the streets of New York City. Boston was nice to go to because I have a lot of friends, including my best friend, living there and on a travel schedule as busy as my own it is nice to be able to get together with the gang for the a couple of days. I am getting ready to move back up to VT because the snow is starting to fall and the mountain will soon be open. On Dec. 1 I will be traveling to Colorado were there will be a team camp and then off to Europe for a World Cup event. Thats all for now have a happy turkey day!!!

End of October
Saturday, October 18, 2008, 02:24 PM
Last Thursday I went to New York City, where I attended the ASPCA (America Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) charity event. It was at the IAG Building that was all glass, it was very fun and I got to meet a couple of rescue dogs. These dogs were the hit of the party, they also had wonderful personalities that made them irresistible to everyone. There was a silent auction to help raise money for this non profit organization. This was the first time I was apart of this event and I was very happy see how many young people supported this organization.
On Friday when I got home I also completed my stone wall that I started last summer, it took me a little longer than expected because I broke my wrist this spring but I am happy to report that I have finished it. Feels good!

OCTOBER
Thursday, October 9, 2008, 12:25 PM
So the leaves are changing and starting to drop fast, I am continuously working out and trying to finish my stone wall before it gets too cold for my fingers to handle it. Next week I am going into NYC where I will be attending a charity event (ASPCA - American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). This will be my first time attending this event and I am very excited. I love hanging out in NYC, it is a big change from the country life that I have in little Roxbury, CT.

First One Down
Wednesday, October 8, 2008, 01:03 PM
I just returned from Argentina. I stayed in a town called San Martin de las Andes. The first day the US team went free riding, we shredded 9 feet of fresh powder, it was not on the light side but still a blast. The US team went down there for two weeks and the last weekend there was the first World Cup event of the year. The course was long and had big jumps. I am glad to say that I won the race and felt very strong with my riding. I also raced on my new boards made by KESSLER, they were flawless. I had so much fun training on the course and enjoying the spring time riding. The town was really cute and one street that had a bunch of tourist shops that were stocked with fairies and trolls, they believed that these creatures lived and protected the wood all around them. So I brought home some souvenirs for my family and friends. All around I had a lot of fun and was a great camp.

Day In The City
Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 12:37 PM
Last Monday I went to New York City, where I set up a meeting with VITA COCO. For those who don't know, VITA COCO is a coconut water drink that is loaded with potassium, has no fat, filled with vitamin C, and has a great taste. It is a natural rehydrant, that has only one ingredient(natural coconut water). That means no additives and especially no high fructose corn syrup. There are several great flavors as well. I love VITA COCO after a workout. After the VITA COCO meeting I went to the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) adoption center, where I got to tour the facility, that was renovated in 2006, and meet the staff. I learned so much about the adoption process as well as meeting some of the animal that were given a second chance by this wonderful organization. It really was a heartwarming experience to see how many different people share the same passion I have for animals. Next summer I plan to sign up to be a volunteer. Anyone who has a love for animals should look into this volunteer program or go online to www.aspca.org and see how you can help.

Happy Father's Day
Sunday, June 15, 2008, 03:53 PM
I just flew out to Mt. Hood yesterday and I arrived at my condo last night. It was a relaxing night of just watching a movie and unwinding from a long day of travel. I am so excited to be out in Hood. Today I cleaned my condo from head to toe and finished with laying around the pool were the sun was very inviting. I will be meeting up with a former coach of mine tonight for dinner in Hood River. Tomorrow I will be picking up Makayla and Meghan at the airport. It is arrival day for Windells campers. We will be up on the hill everyday this week and the weather seems to be improving, so it looks like it will be a very productive time. That all for now.

Traveling Still
Thursday, May 29, 2008, 07:04 PM
Last Week I went to New Orleans for the Fox Cable Network's annual convention. I got to sit in their both and learn about how the whole cable industry works. It is very elaborate and more evolved than the regular TV viewer could imagine. I was only down there for one day and night so I did not really get to wonder around much, however I did get to have a wonderful meal at the Red Fish restaurant before I left to travel right to Baltimore, Maryland. I went to Baltimore to attend sales meeting for the '09 product line for Under Armour (UA). Everything from golf to Snow and from head to toe. Sorry I cannot tell you what I saw because it is next years line and I am sworn to secrecy. All I can say is...it will be awesome. After a long day of meetings my team manager took the UA athletes to the Baltimore Aquarium. That was so much fun and had so may more exhibits other than fish. If you really like aquariums than you will really love this one! Couple days later the UA team had the privilege to go to the Chesapeake Bay and go on a wake boarding boat that was generously provided by Malibu (my favorite). It was a nice way to relax and get to know the other UA athletes better. Also that was the first time I had ever been wake surfing in brackish water (combo of salt and fresh). That same day we all were leaving to go back to our homes, the only snag was we were running late because of traffic and I never go to change out of my bathing suit. So i flew home in it. HAHA.

Summer Has Arrived
Thursday, May 15, 2008, 01:48 PM
I just got back from my trip to Fort Lauderdale, FL. I went down with my parents to visit family friends as well as my grandpa, two aunts and cousins. It was a busy but fun week. Now lets remember that I still have a cast on and I am hanging out on the beach. This was a tough thing to do because I was in the water so much and trying to keep that cast dry was a struggle. I did not get it wet even though I was playing in the waves and going snorkeling, haha beat that. That was a funny sight to see, what I had to do was take out a raft with me so I could prop up my hand, so it would not get so tired, then just putt putt around and enjoy the sights. I had so much fun.
I went inland for a couple of days to visit family and was that fun. I hung out with my grandpa and went looking for alligators on his golf cart. I met up with my two aunts and cousins and had a pool party. We also went out the eat at the most amazing restaurant, the food was delicious. My family and I returned to the beach to have more fun in the sun for a few more days.
So I am back home in CT and enjoying my favorite season, and the flowers that come along with it. My cast came off last friday and I have a really bad tan line from it. I looks so funny. My goal is to get it strong enough so I can get out surfing as soon as possible.

Just Checking In
Thursday, April 24, 2008, 02:04 PM
I went to the Doctor today to have a check up on how well my wrist was healing and the doctor and I were glad to see that there was new growth. This means that I will not have to put a pin in my wrist. That was the good to hear. However, I still need to keep my cast on for two more weeks. Next week I will be traveling down to Florida to visit my Grandpa, he lives in West Palm Beach. I will be able to go to the beach, but that will not be so easy for me because I am a water baby and with a cast on that could take some getting use to. I am still looking forward to sitting on the beach and getting some sun, even though I will get a funny tan line from my cast. I am counting down the days until I can go the the beach and surf, I have not gone surfing in a long time.

Day At The Beach
Friday, April 11, 2008, 03:39 PM
Couple a days ago I went to Rye Beach, New Hampshire. I brought my dog Gidgett for a day trip. When I first got there it was 40 degrees. Not exactly warm and there was a layer of fog so thick that you could not see if there were any waves. So I walked around on the beach for Gidgett's first walk for the day until she needed a break. Then when she was wet and cold I put her in my car and went into one of my favorite surf shops, Cinnamon Rainbows. In less than an hour the weather was clearing and the surf was picking up. It is hard for me to be at the beach and not go into the water, but with my cast on for the next month, I will have to wait before I enter the water. So I continued to walk Gidgett and enjoying the beautiful day. We probably walk about four miles but Gidgett was running back and forth so much she must have doubled that amount. We had a great time and Gidgett was so tired she slept the whole next day. SHe had a blast.
I also just finished reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini. I highly recommend it. It was sad but a very important piece in history.

End of the Season
Thursday, April 3, 2008, 12:22 PM
Hey there everyone,
My competitive season is over for this year and I am super exited to relax and hang out with my friends. I felt I had a great season, with very few injuries. I am enjoying the last couple of weeks Stratton Mountain has to offer before they have to close for the bears to come out of hibernation. The weather has been great and sunny. Plus I have been skiing a little as the season calms down. Yes skiing, I enjoy jumping on a pair of skis every now and then because that is what I started off doing so I like to dabble in it every now and then. Until next time. Lindsey
